    Our guest Diego is coming back this semester and will teach us about sherries! Sherry is a Spanish fortified wine made from grapes. It can range from crisp and dry to syrupy sweet - and although sherry is delicious on its own, sherry casks are also very valuable for whisky maturation.

    When Arab alchemists accidentally invented distilling, they had no idea that it could be applied not only for making perfumes. It was clever monks who brought distilling to Europe, leading to creation of our favourite usquebaugh, and since then whisky has become a truly GLOBAL phenomenon.
